Cookie

This is "Cookie". He has been made of delicious golden mohair with brown tips. It reminded me of butter cookies. His Soles, inner ears and the cookie application on his belly are made of Suédine. The application itself is double-sided, stuffed and needle sculpted. I also used some dye to shade his face, inner ears, paw pads and cookie. His hands and feet are needle sculpted, his face is shaved. By the way his paw pads have got a rectangular shape, resembling a butter cookie. The claws and nose are stitched and waxed. He got 7 joints (wrists in addition to the ordinary 5 joints). In addition to the sheeps wool I filled his feet and belly with mineral pellets in order to enable him to stand.

Details:

  • Name: Cookie
  • Size: 21 cm (8.3 ")
  • Joints: 7
  • Weight: 258 g

You have to be very patient with "Cookie". He loves cookies and leaves crumbs wherever he goes. But he is quite frugal - if you provide him with cookies and many hugs, he won't need anything else.

"Cookie" now lives happily with his new mum Carla and many other bears in Bad Homburg, Germany.

Tagfalterchen / Little Butterfly

Winter is over, a good indication for that fact is that I saw the first butterfly today! In my flat there came a butterfly out of his chrysalis this morning. It was my new creation "Little butterfly"! He is in fact a peacock butterfly - as I am studying biology, I didn't want to make a bear with fantasy wings. I wanted to imitate a real species. Hopefully I succeeded! His wings are wired, so that he is able to move them. He has got 7 joints and is made of black short-pile mohair. I shaved his face, palms and soles. The claws at his toes are extra long. His face and Hands are sculpted. Additionally I shaded his face. Of course I didn't forget his antennae! In addition to the sheep's wool, I filled him with steel pellets.

Details:

  • Name: Little Butterfly
  • Size: 19 cm (7.48") without antennae
  • Joints: 7
  • Wing-Span: 17 cm (6.69")
  • Weight: 132 g

He needs many plants and flowers around him resembling his natural habitat. His favourite food is honey or maple syrup. Besides he needs attention and hugs.

"Little butterfly" lives now with Isabel in Rodgau, Germany. There he found many orchids to get nectar from and a loving mum giving him hugs!
