Dear readers, today I tried my first own cupcake recipe. I just improved my own marzipan frosting and I did not rest until it was perfect. Now I started to develop my own Carrot Cupcake recipe.
I like to bake Swiss Carrot Cake, but I wanted to make delicious Carrot Cupcakes. Since I didn't like the recipes I found on the internet, I decided to develop my own. Well, what do you think about my first attempt - do the cupcakes look presentable? They are already very tasty. Although, I want to change a few things next time in order to perfect my very own Carrot Cupcake recipe.

Welcome autumn!
Hallo Ihr Lieben, habt Ihr Euer Heim und Euren Balkon schon herbstlich geschmückt? Mein Balkon strahlt nun in herbstlichen Farben.
Dear readers, have you already decorated your home and balcony in autumn colours? My balcony now is prepared for autumn. I say: "Welcome autumn!"
A set of Chrysanthemum in yellow, orange, pink and white is a nice splash of color on my autumnal balcony. Nice ornamental gourds and heather decorated with physalis and felt ribbon round my seasonal decoration off.

I can do pretty
Dear readers, just like "Max Black" in "2 Broke Girls", I thought I could not do pretty. Tasty AND pretty cupcakes are not easy to make. But finally, I made it and these marzipan cupcakes prove it: "I CAN do pretty!" And they are tasty.
If you also feel like baking these tasty cupcakes, please find the recipe below:
2 eggs
25 g butter
50 g cream cheese
100 g sugar
100 g marzipan
100 g flour
100 g ground almonds
1 TL baking soda
1 pinch of salt
2 ml bitter almond flavouring
40 ml juice (for exampel apple juice)
Preheat oven (175°C). Mix baking soda, flour, ground almonds and salt in a bowl. Mix butter, cream cheese, sugar and bitter almond flavouring in another bowl. Add marzipan in pieces and stir it together with the cream cheese mix. Add eggs and beat again. Finally stir flour mix together with the cream cheese mix and add juice. Beat until smooth.
Put dough in muffin cups and bake at 175°C for 23 minutes. Let them cool before decorating them with frosting. The frosting is a cream cheese frosting with marzipan flavour. Here's how it is made: mix 200 g powdered sugar and 25 g butter (at room temperature). Add 90 g cream cheese and the bitter almond flavouring and beat. As soon as the frosting is smooth and fluffy, fill in a piping bag. Keep in fridge until cupcakes are ready and finally decorate cupcakes with frosting!

Sweets for my sweet
Dear readers, due to lack of time I did not bake this weekend. Instead, I tried something new: German chocolate marshmallows decorated with icing (you can buy icing in tubes). It was great fun and my boy-friend insists on me decorating every chocolate marshmallows with icing in future. Quick and easy to make, pretty and tasty - I can really recommend this.

Beautiful Cherry Blossom by Kay

Greetings from Bavaria
Dear readers, we are back from our holidays on Mallorca and here I send you greetings from Bavaria! Why? Well, I just wanted to make a bruin who represents my homeland, Bavaria - that is the reason why I designed "Spatzl". Here he is with his sweet gingerbread heart. How do you like him?

Spatzl
This teddy bear should represent where I am coming from, Bavaria. So I made Spatzl carrying one of the famous gingerbread hearts.
Details:
Spatzl is a sweet little bear who would love to give you his (gingerbread) heart in order to show you how much he loves you. He is the right teddy bear to spend romantic sunsets with and he is very loyal. Of course, his favourite breakfast is Weißwurst (Bavarian veal sausage) with sweet mustard, a pretzel and a glass of beer. Furthermore, he loves chocolate coated fruit and toffee apples.

Spatzl is made out of blonde ratinee mohair fabric with brown backing. For Spatzl´s gingerbread heart, I used felt, ribbon, fluffy effect liner and a home-made ribbon rose. Cinnamon flock fabric covers toes, fingers and inner ears. In order to shape the bear´s face, feet and hands I used the needle sculpting technique. His nose and claws have been stitched using a red waxed yarn.
With his six joints (arms, legs and double neck joints) Spatzl is very movable. Finally, I filled him with sheep´s wool and mineral granules for additional weight.

Cotton Candy
From a distant cotton candy land comes teddy "Cotton Candy".
"Cotton Candy" is made out of pink fuzzy mohair fabric which I hand-dyed using durable natural dye. For "Cotton Candy´s" off-white swirl, I used soft felting wool. Off-white flock fabrics covers toes, fingers, inner ears and snout. In order to shape the bear´s face, feet and hands I used the needle sculpting technique. His nose and claws have been stitched using a light pink yarn. Additionally, I shaded his muzzle with a bit of pink dye.
With his eight joints (arms, wrists, legs and double neck joints) "Cotton Candy" is very movable. Finally, I filled him with sheep´s wool and mineral granules for additional weight.
Details:
"Cotton Candy" is a happy teddy bear who would love to show you his native country, cotton candy land. His good mood and playfulness cheers up everyone around him. Of course, he loves sweets and eats a lot of it. Furthermore, "Cotton Candy" is keen on combining sweets, like making and eating S´smores, putting chocolate and ice cream between waffles, topping cupcakes with marshmallows and cotton candy, and so on. He loves helping you in the kitchen, but don´t wonder when you bake a cake and let him help you, you will always find your cake decorated with lots of colourful sugar crumbles.

Cotton Candy
Dear readers, there is a new One-toe-bear I would like to introduce to you: Cotton Candy. He was supposed to look like he comes from a cotton candy land, which I think I achieved quite well by using this fluffy fuzzy pink mohair (which I've hand dyed using durable natural colors) and wonderfully soft felt - don't you agree?

By the way, I had the idea to make Cotton Candy while bathing in the candy smell and the mountains of soft bubbles coming from "Candy Mountain" Bubble Bar made by LUSH.
